Shipping of kefir grains across India:
We ship kefir grains all across India.
By default, our product prices include shippign via a reliable courier company. We primarily use DTDC, Bluedart and Delhivery. Our typical shipping time is 3-5 days. In some locations we can also offer a faster option (like next day delivery) at an extra cost. If customers prefer a specific courier service, we will try our best to accommodate and all additional costs will have to be borne by the customers for such cases. We deal with such issues on a case-by-case basis.
Shipping of Ready to drink kefirs.
Our ready to drink line is currently available only within Bangalore. Shipping is always excluded from the price of the product. These products can be picked up for free from our location or we can ship it to your doorstep at actual cost. We use Dunzo, Telyport, Uncle Delivery and Porter as our shipping partners.
Returns
We do not accept returns. Kefir grains are a live, perishable culture — once they have left us they cannot be resold or reused.
Refunds
Once your grains have been shipped we do not offer refunds. If something is wrong with what you receive, your order is covered by our one-year warranty below, which entitles you to replacements.
Before your order is shipped, we will refund you in full if:
you ordered the same item more than once by mistake and tell us before dispatch;
you cancel the order before it has been dispatched;
we are unable to fulfil your order — for example we cannot deliver to your pin code, or the grains are not available.
Refunds are made to the original payment method. We process them within 5-10 days of confirming the cancellation; your bank may take a further 5–7 working days to show the money in your account.
Warranty
We offer a limited one-year warranty on all grains. The warranty is effective from the date you receive them from us. We offer up to 3 replacement units for the grains on a like to like basis. For example, if you buy milk kefir grains, we can only replace with milk kefir grains. Shipping will be charged for replacements. We will only ship the grains to the city your originally ordered from. Unfortunately miscreants took advantage of our generous replacement offer to send grains to their friends and relatives. So we had to make this change to the rule.
The shipping cost for replacement is fixed at Rs 250, irrespective of the location.
Payment terms.
All orders are prepaid. We accept payment through Razorpay, which supports UPI, cards, net banking and wallets. Your order is confirmed once payment is received; we do not ship against part payment or cash on delivery.
Prices shown on product pages are exclusive of GST. GST is calculated and added at checkout, so the amount you pay at the payment step is the final amount. A GST tax invoice is issued for every order and emailed to you.
Cancellations before dispatch
You can cancel an order any time before it has been dispatched by writing to sri@kefirwala.in or send a whatsapp menssage to 7700009275. We will refund the full amount to the original payment method. Refunds are processed within 10 working days and typically reach your account within 5–7 working days, depending on your bank.
Once an order has been dispatched it cannot be cancelled, and the returns and refunds terms above apply.
